What do you mean peel? I own 2 GSD and I foster for German Shepherd rescue all the time and I have never seen hair peel off a dog.

what do you mean by peeling off? any dog with hair will shed, but german shepherd with their thick undercoats will shed more. if you think your dog is shedding excessivly call your vet there might be something medically wrong with the dog, such as a thyroid problem. if it's just shedding then you should be brushing a shepherd at least every other day and this will help cut down on the shedding. you need to get a brush that will help thin out this undercoat.

PEEL off??? Hair falling out or is the skin peeling? Either way, get that dog to the Vet. It could be something simple like a skin allergies or MUCH worse. Get him ckd out.
