How do they peel the tough membrane off of the orange segments before they are tinned....When I eat an orange I usually peel it off with my teeth but it's difficult to do so without destrying the segment inside.

They probably do the same before they tin them...............

Tinned Oranges are mandarin oranges. Mandarin oranges are usually tangerines. These are easier to peel and seperate from the peel than a regular orange.

Yes they peel it off with there teeth before tinning them...

If you notoice the man from Del Monte when he says "yes" that his teeth are very discoloured infact you could say they were orange.. :)

It just goes to show... lol

Cut a slice off the stem end ( the small o) and then strip off the skin and pulp. You may need to undercut the color and white pulp in a circular ring (to get your nails under) and score the rhine in quarters down to the blossom end. It's a lot easier to show than giving a written description.

i would think they have a machine for washing the oranges before they go in the tin.well i would like to think so cos i eat alot of tinned fruit.
