Hey David- what makes you think we're self loathing? I love my life and treasure it to the fullest extent, and I'm atheist.

Did you know Abraham Lincoln wasn't Christian? Einstein, Isaac Asimov, Ernest Hemingway, Benjamin Franklin, Galileo, President John Adams, Walter Disney, Robert Frost, and Vincent Van Gogh. Not Christians.

...see the connection?

Hitler was a devout Christian as was Manson who thought he saw Jesus and this is well documented. Wayne Gacy was a Christian. The shooters at Columbine and Stalin were both Jewish. Your point? Basically you've just given a list of people who worshiped your god. Nice going.

A persons religion or lack there of does not make them into criminals or murders.

Not all those are even atheists. Hitler for instance was a combination between Catholic and Occult beliefs. Charlie just thinks he is god-not that there isn't one. Gacy was also involved in his church and was Christian.

I'll take the others but they weren't motivated by their atheism just like McVay wasn't motivated by being a Christian. On the other hand they all put together aren't even close to the Inquisition that was clearly Christian motivated. And with you following a tyrannical god that killed more than 2.27 million according to the Bible. That connection I do see.

I saw a special on Hitler-it said he used astronomy, to give him confidence (by way of predictions) but he killed his personal psychic and turned around and made a deal with the existing pope to leave him alone.
Thomas Jefferson was a deist but was very opposed to Christianity.
Benjamin Franklin would attend Satanic parties when he was in England.
I was hoping to read a list of popes responsible for thousands upon thousands of murders throughout history...
There is the Old Testament, plenty of murderers there.

I am afraid your information is a bit off the mark:
Hitler was a Roman Catholic alter Boy and wrote of wanting to be a Catholic priest. He and his men in charge of killing six million Jews were Catholic religious fanatics until death.
Stalin went to college to be a Protestant Christian minister. He became president of Russia and time after time had millions murdered.
Bruce Lee murdered 26 people. The Flint Journal article says "Bible reading was his only consolations" and he quoted the bible saying "Matthew 6, verse 24 no servant can be a serve of two masters."
David Berkowitz (Corbis) called the SON OF SAM, murdered more than 10 women. The newspaper said "He called himself a born again Christian"
Berwid The article in the Flint Journal quotes him "I was searching the bible and soul searching and I decided God wanted me to do that."
The Yorkshire Rapier "was on a divine mission and felt he had been chosen to hear the word of GOD (JESUS)." Reported the Flint Journal. He murdered 11 girls.
Miller a serial killer had that thing called faith, believed in Jesus. The Flint Journal article says he was always carrying the Bible.
Sampson Kanderayi, a mass murderer called The Ax Killer, killed more than 30 people. The newspaper reported "he did it to appease evil spirits." He was a Christian
Watts, The Sunday Morning Slasher killed 11 women. This article says he did it "to eliminate evil spirits".
Jeffery Dahmer is a typical serial killer. He killed more than 23 young men and eat many of them.
A college professor at WSU wrote "Lionel was the son of Lionel Dahmer, creationist, I went to the library to read back issues of the Milwaukee newspaper on cd.
Jeffery Dahmer was a son of a fundamentalist.
Jeffery Dahmer was a son of a fundamentalist-creationist.
Jeffery Dahmer was a son of a Fundamentalist-creationist-first wife-abuser.
Jeffery Dahmer was a son of a Fundamentalist-creationist-second wife-abuser.
Do you wonder about the odds that lil Jeff was an abused child?
Lionel Dahmer claims in his book about his son that Jeffrey was
abused as a child by an older youth. Jeffrey denied this,
according to newspaper articles. The other Dahmer son, David, has
not spoken out as far as I know. There is a story I would like
to hear.
Lionel Dahmer was one of several creationists (I think 7) who wrote
a three and a quarter page article about petroglyph.
Within the last couple of weeks here in the Milwaukee area, we have
had another case of infanticide in which a model Christian wife
and mother beat her young sons with a baseball bat. One died. The
other is in pretty bad shape. You could add her to your list of
upstanding (murdering) Christians.

I know of many atheists' who are better humans than most theists are. Being human is what matters, I could cite the names of a number of crazy theists - you could start with some of the Popes of medieval times who thought nothing of having children out of wedlock, of loot and murder, greed, and then you had the Inquisition, one of the worst being the Spanish one.....,.,, could go on and on. More crimes have been committed in the name and guise of religion than any other.

I am not an atheist, I am just a human being first and last. I mean no offense to any faith or religion, we all including the atheists and agnostics are human and can commit wrongs.

A faulty generalization, also known as an inductive fallacy, is any of several errors of inductive inference:

Logic

The proportion Q of the sample has attribute A.
therefore
The proportion Q of the population has attribute A.

Also, correlation does not establish causation. The actions of these people cannot be attributed to their religious beliefs, or lack thereof. Did they all have brown eyes? Maybe you should watch out for brown-eyed people.

Another thing they had in common is wanting to forcefully eliminate religion. By what ever means. Some of the posts I see here tell me these atheists haven't fallen too far from the tree. Atheist as with most so called intellectuals think they and only they know best. Tyrants.

...Watch what you say, friend. But for the grace of God go you and I. God had mercy on us and called us to Himself. We are now new creatures in Christ, but still beggars who can show others where we found the Bread of Life.
...I have not murdered anyone, but have I ever been angry with a brother without cause? The answer is yes, and Jesus said this about that in Matthew 5:
...22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.
...1 John 1:8 says this: "If we say we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves, and the truth is not in us."
...Non-atheists and atheists have been murderers, and maybe you haven't, but each of us has sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. One sin is too many - we are all guilty - read James 2:10:
..."For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles in one point, has become guilty of all."
...Each of us needs a Savior to redeem us from sin.
...Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and be saved. Acts 16:31
...Whosoever will, may come.
