I am renting a home from the church my daughters, ages 9 and 3, go to with their grandparents. We just received a notice of eviction from them, claiming that we did not pay our December rent, we have the money order stubs and receipts to prove that we did, they are not accepting those and threatening to evict us on Monday. I am not worried about the eviction as we have the proof needed to stand up in court if it comes to that, and I have already consulted a lawyer, my question is whether I should let my children continue to attend a church that is obviously lacking integrity.

They have done this to one other family as well, we had to wait to move until our lease was up, but now they are trying to work the same game on us. I think I should remove my kids from this church, I do not go to church, but if i did I sure as hell would choose one that practices what it preaches so to speak. What would you do?

while it is hard to believe, it is true, and the pastor is the one I am dealing with. What makes it even harder is that my oldest is best friends with the pastors daughter.

If you can prove that their allegation is false then I would pursue legal action to remain. Now that I have said that, would you really want to remain in a situation where the landlord has made it clear that you are unworthy? Personally I would stay on just out of spite. I will not be forced out of my home due to the tiny minded closed hearts of a few congregation members. I wouldn't even take my kids out of the church. I would be so awful as to make sure the kids knew exactly what was going on and they knew that we had done nothing wrong and had every legal right to remain in our rented home. If the kids didn't want t to go back to church so be it but I would not let the church dictate the rules. I get your point about the church lacking integrity but I think it is more important to maintain your integrity than to bow out too soon. Show'em who's right. Good luck with that.

first of all, your associates could document an emergency attraction of this decision. i have under no circumstances heard of a decide refusing to hearken to evidence in want of the defendent. If there grow to be a signed contract and they could teach they were paying the more suitable $three hundred. in accordance to month, this decide grow to be incorrect. Secondly, convinced, I do imagine your daughter's church desires to benefit about this. enable the elders and pastor see the evidence and are available to a decision what to do. The house agency would not own the abode, the church does, which will let your associates to stay in the experience that they favor. Peace.

This is hard to believe. Have you told the grandparents who attend the church with your children? Normally a story like yours would get to the pastor and he would put a stop to what is going on. The pastor could lose the whole congregation if they hear about what is being done to you. Good people anywhere would not approve of this. What kind of church is this?

A church with no integrity is one that is not worth going to. Pull your kids out, tell the grandparents not to bother the rest of the family with stuff related to that church, if they are too senile to pull out of it too, and look to move out ASAP, if I were you, I would look for a way to stop giving any money to that church. Also make the tale well known in your community...

I hope you have some other decent, honest, and non kooky church to go to.

Pull the kids from the church. The sin is not going to church, not which church you attend. Will you attend a different church with your kids?

if you have prove that you did pay, they will have a leg to stand on. I would tell the lawyer and show him the prove that you did pay. as far as your children, I would take them out. if you win, I would still move because they would make your stay awful and not fix anything that breaks
