Not really hurt. It can sting. I have a very low tolerance of pain. And I have gotten 2 tatoo's. One on each shoulder blade, the right one did not sting at all, I gritted my teeth the whole time on the 2nd one. So to answer your question it will depend on your pain level and where you get it. It also depends on the artist doing the tat. Some are heavy handed. So find a good shop, not necessarily a cheap shop because you'll get what you pay for. And go check out the artist portifillos and watch them work. Than decided who you want to work on you.

All tattoos hurt, but based on personal tolerance to pain, the location of the tattoo, the size of the tattoo and the duration of the session and of the artists skill, the pain you feel can vary greatly.

Generally its not bad. Most often people hype themselves up for it so it seems worse in their head. Main thing is that if you get a tattoo, just relax.

When I got mine which is on the upper chest it was just like a very hot sensation. Not too much pain. No pain after. My Daughters, on her stomach, was more painful at the time but it all depends on the levels of pain you can put up with.

hmmm let's see, I was told that it depends were you get one. I have one on my ankle and wrist. They both hurt but it hurt most the closer it was to the bone and sensitive skin.
