Because telling everyone else what to do and how to live is really easy...but actually doing it and living it yourself is hard.

The religions don't teach this, the people who follow the religions sometimes do. There is a very important difference. Everyone starts at the bottom. If you want the truth of a religion and of the followers of a religion do not look to the common man, look to the Holy man/woman of that religion. In Christianity that would be the Saints. These are the people who truly represent the religion, the others are just sinner on the way.

properly, until you have been a member of the Fred Phelps cult I also have a complicated time believing that any Bible believing Christian preacher actual reported what you declare he reported; in those words. simply by fact any preacher that has had any formal coaching is responsive to that "we" don't have the flexibility or authority to sentence every physique. We purely have the flexibility and authority from God to discover people who've already condemned themselves by embracing sin as a exchange of God. that's Love Perfected in the process the Holy Ghost that tells us to not make for ourselves a faux god that teaches us to embody the sinner besides as their sin. If the certainty of God offends the sinner, then be responsive to this: that they've been indignant by Jesus first.

Most Christian religions are not supposed to "tolerate" anything that strays from the truth. Christians do not teach tolerance. The Christian churches do teach us to love those who are straying, but in no way are we to tolerate their actions! Research your question more before asking it.

What hasn't been taken into account is the population explosion...the baby boom.
Take people who aren't well educated, compared to now, and then give them a bunch of kids to train and teach. This multiplies the ignorance factor of the average person. One influencing many.
Then add more information to the entire mix. Sciences etc.
This leaves a major amount of info to give your kids before thy move on to a house of their own. How many, of the last 4 generations, have taught their children the values they want? They may have taught some of the lessons...but not all. That's what the rest of life is for. Right?

Ignorance of this magnitude will not go away over night. Especially with more and more people coming into this world.

With everything to teach your kids, what will you teach them? When will you teach them? How?

because they forget love and tolerance and think they know better. they are wrong of course, since they do things that condemn themselves in the eyes of the world. so you may well grasp the essence of religion more than those that claim they are religious, it's all down to the interpretation

Most religions don't practice what they teach because, basically, they preach the way they do to draw people to their religion to have bragging rights to other religions that they have more people in their religion.

When you find a religon that is fully tolerant of others beliefs, and has no agenda to convince others of their own beliefs. One that does not spread it's philosophy to others, unless asked about it first, there you will find true logic, and understanding of things.

OK some religions honestly do teach AND practice love and tolerance. Please don't confuse Christians with actual religious people.

Because they don't understand their own religion. Not all people do this, it just makes them stand out more, so you notice them more. In fact, some religions even forbid prostylization.
