I've wondered this too. The truth is these days alot of guys don't want some really skinny girl. We want a little meat on the bones you know? I think the sooner some females learn that, the better off they will be.

There was an actual survey done on this subject. they asked I think 100 men. Real men, want women with curves. Now they say that fashion dictates what's in. What I think is interesting is; the same people who are saying the model body for a woman is this emaciated figure that actually looks like a tall thin male are who? Gay male designers who think that the female body is gross. Or men who have pedophilia tendencies. What grown man is attracted to a woman built like a Little boy or a 10 year old girl?

because that's what all the other women tell them. Take a look at magazines...all the girls magazines talk about being thin, getting thin, and losing weight while all the guys magazines talk about getting fit, getting fit, and getting fit! Now look and see how many of those girls magazines have guys for editors and writers and how many of the guys magazines have girls for editors and writers. It's the girls telling the girls what guys want...why the girls believe other girls over guys is beyond me.
Ladies...thin is not fit!!! You bring this thin thing all on yourselves...men do not want thin, they want FIT!!!

The media sends the message that the thinner you are, the more beautiful. It's a proven fact that if a woman has a little meat they're considered to be fat. (to the media) Look how many stars gain weight get belittled and fall under attack. That's why I really like Kirstie Alley...she made money and laughed with them in "Fat Actress". Now she's the one really laughing, she has dropped the weight and made money while she was heavy.

its the way society and the media portrays women.
I was watching the news last night, and a Brazilian woman who was a model for fashion shows died because of her obsession with modelling and the way the media portrayed her. It was really dissappointing. I have an average body and sometimes I wish I was skinnier but I have a boyfriend who treats me well and loves me the way I am, every girl needs a guy like that.

Its the way the media portrays women. Girls hear guys talk about how hot a woman is and inevitably she is thin with huge boobs!

i suppose they think that guys won't be attracted to someone whos slightly larger than you're average girl (who is ridiculously skinny these days.......) - sometimes lads can just judge by physical appearance but others (who tend to be the best ones anyway) look deeper than that. you'll find that when you're with someone too and are in love that you put on weight 'cos you no longer feel the need to impress them, they love you anyway.

they dont have to be mega thin just not 400 pounds.they dont think they want to be thin for boys just so they dont get made fun of other girls.
