Depends on what it is.
Some senarios:
Your friend gets detention and needs a signature of a parent to confirm they know she/he has detention. You provide signature. You're committing fraud and forgery. Not a good thing.
You're a sister and your sibling needs a parental signature but your parents are not available and won't be in time. You can communicate with them and they give you permission or tell you to sign in thier stead, that is ok and as long as they stand behind you there's no problem. Since you're signing for them it's best to put your name and the word "for" and the actual parents name.
You're a step mother and you step needs a parental sig...go ahead, it's part of the job description.
you're a girlfriend and your boyfriends kids need a sig for school. Ask the boyfriend first, just to cover your bases.

You mean give permission for underage person do things their parents wouldn't sign for or are you talking legal. You got 2 strikes against forgery and fraud. Both illegal and you can go to penitentiary for either two.

depends on what you were signing but you should never sign for a child unless you are the parent or guardian or you have permission from the parents, and that is fraud and the parents can hold you responsible for what happens

So you and your friends can have a Ferris Buellers day off movie montage moment as you scope out hot older guys in the mall and just hope ever so softly that the mean old prinicpal won't track you down and put you in almighty detention? I dunno, it might work..
