I took this girl out on Monday and hit it off with her real well. she sent me a text message and said that she would leave friday open for us to go out again. We have talked all week long several times and everything is fine right! Well this morning she sends me a text saying "good morning" the next thing I get is a text saying that she is gonna need to take a raincheck that she has some personal crap to take care and she hopes I understand. Were not kids were both adults in our thirties and I'm wondering why she text messaged me rather than call me to tell me that. I really am interested in this girl and am wondering what I should do or say. I asked a single female friend and she said that it sounds kinda shady. What to do What to do???????

seems a little impersonal to break plans with a text. maybe she isn't telling the truth. i read something the other day about how people are more likely to lie using email or text as it is easier to get away with. if she called you might hear it in her voice that it is not true. sorry i can't be much help. good luck.

Just a wrong choice of words and a bad delivery. don't take it personal. Next time you talk, make sure you ask if everything is okay. Hope all went well with her personal stuff. You would really like to go out again. You will need a few dates , before knowing more about her.and her intent. if she blows you off again. Move on

Sounds like she got a better offer and sent a text so she would not have to talk to you about it. Since she is the one that suggested Friday I'd be surprised if suddenly she had to take care of "personal" stuff that can't wait until Saturday.

call and try and reschedule your date. if she declines, then you will know shes not interested
