he's a male hairstylist. did you honestly expect anything else?
they are all nutcases. that's what makes them so wonderful.

address the fact that he's a nutcase and get your hair done.

Define "nutcase" first, maybe he's excentric, if attending to his parlor doesn't put your life at risk then just let him be and stay out of his personal affairs, don't go over the Costumer-Service Provider relationship.

He does a great job; what's the problem? If it's not hurting you in any way, let him fly his freak flag high and just learn to embrace his quirkiness.
Trust me, it's too hard to find a good stylist to sweat the proverbial "small stuff."

any hairstylist can do a good job, so find out what your nutjob hairstylist does and have another do the same thing..

what's the problem? it's his job to cut your hair, why should anything else about him matter? if you think he's that bad, just talk to other people and find another stylist.

don't do anything. if u don't want him to talk to u while he's cutting your hair -- close your eyes. he'll think you're relaxing or sleeping.
