He says that it will numb the pain, but I would figure you would be more sensitive to it. I have 5 tattoos, and plan to get another one this weekend. Has anyone ever gotten a tat high, or known of someone??

I smoked a packed blunt of purple haze before I got my last tattoo, and let me tell you, when you are getting the tattoo, you are completely sober, but as soon as the needle stops, it comes right back. It's crazy. Unless you just wanna feel the high in between needles then it's not that much of a difference.

What did you do for the other 5 tattoos?? I don't think weed would numb the pain at all. It would just make you a bit more paranoid and jumpy if anything. I have heard they don't recommend or even tattoo ppl that have had alcohol in them when they've gone to do a tattoo. Have you ever smoked weed before? If so...Do you really think it would help numb the pain?? I don't think so. ~ I wouldn't suggest it.

About 90% of people I know who did this had increase in pain, discomfort and dizziness while getting a tattoo. Most of them vomited, passed out and bleed more and had to stop the session. In very few cases are people relaxed and more pain free.
If you have 5 tattoos and did find with them while you were sober, you'll be fine to get another. Do the smart thing and only get tattoos while clean and sober. Alcohol is bad because it generally thins the blood and increase your likeliness to pass out. You shouldn't take most pain killers either because they also thin out your blood. A very small dose might be okay, but its not really needed.

OK the endorphins kick in and you'll end up losing your high! so just leave the weed alone and get the tattoo! some people are different and they react different to the same things! don't complicate and easy process!

If you're too stoned the artist will know and not do the tat. I got one (my first) when I was stoned and now I don't remember any pain. But people have told me, I kept bitching about the pain while it was being done.

I did and it really didn't make a difference, your choice. But if you don't smoke weed then don't be silly and do it.

I always do.. The tat artist knew I was, i even smoked on breaks.. the endorphins kind of kill your high but its good for the beggining before they kick in, and for helping with the nervousness..
