I get discouraged any time I see a person say "God hates Fags" "Murderer" "turn or burn" or any type of intollerance, hatered, and then claim to represent God. the God of love.

I wouldn't say embarressed exactly, but theists have to try and make a case for God that works, without upsetting fundamentalists and while attempting to show atheists there can be a God. I feel caught between the two but I think it's possible and this is what I try and do. Very few try and square this circle but I think it's the only way there is any hope for the future

Yes....within all religions!!!! (I may practice one religion, but I have studied many others and have friends of many others and they, like me, often get upset and feel hurt by fundamentalists's ignorance...fundmentalists of any of our religions).
