* one meaning can be
Explicitly laid down; admitting no question..
see sometimes ppl wont change their state of mind under any circumstances. when they have decided on something... they stick to it...
* second can be
Confident in opinion or assertion; convinced, assured, very sure; occas. overconfident, cocksure, dogmatic
Say u r waiting for some exam results... u expect to clear it up... or say pass.. u cay I m postive... very sure of something...
* third can be
Of evidence, an experimental result, etc.: tending to support the hypothesis which the experiment was designed to test.
Say HIV positive case... or some medical diagnosis test...
* fourth
positive thinking :
the practice or result of concentrating one's mind on the good and constructive aspects of a matter so as to eliminate destructive attitudes and emotions.... being optimist
