Yes they do.
Gen. 1:20, 21, 24, 25: “God went on to say: ‘Let the waters swarm forth a swarm of living souls* . . . ’ And God proceeded to create the great sea monsters and every living soul that moves about, which the waters swarmed forth according to their kinds, and every winged flying creature according to its kind. . . . And God went on to say: ‘Let the earth put forth living souls according to their kinds . . . ’ And God proceeded to make the wild beast of the earth according to its kind and the domestic animal according to its kind and every moving animal of the ground according to its kind.” (*In Hebrew the word here is ne′phesh. Ro reads “soul.” Some translations use the rendering “creature[s].”)

Lev. 24:17, 18: “In case a man strikes any soul [Hebrew, ne′phesh] of mankind fatally, he should be put to death without fail. And the fatal striker of the soul [Hebrew, ne′phesh] of a domestic animal should make compensation for it, soul for soul.” (Notice that the same Hebrew word for soul is applied to both mankind and animals.)

Rev. 16:3: “It became blood as of a dead man, and every living soul* died, yes, the things in the sea.” (Thus the Christian Greek Scriptures also show animals to be souls.) (*In Greek the word here is psy·khe′. KJ, AS, and Dy render it “soul.” Some translators use the term “creature” or “thing.”)

If by soul you mean... the breath of God that animates the body and gives the ability to move, reproduce, live, feel, emote, and think (at differing levels and sometimes not at all), yes, animals do have souls.

However, the kind of soul that cannot reason between good and evil at a high level, with conscience, is very different from that of a human being. A human being is different because if can (in your case), once did (as a senile old person), will (a baby), or is part of the same species that does (like a retarded person) reason and make decisions about good and evil. This is the kind of soul that can live forever. This is the kind of soul that can go to heaven, or reject God forever and choose to live apart from him (hell). Only humans, angels, and God have immortal souls.

In our language, spirit and soul are used interchangeably, but there is a difference between an animate body and a body animated with a human intellect capable of the vision of God.

Animals are souls, just as people are souls.

In the original languages most of the time where it says "creature" the word was really "soul." Most translations try to hide this, but the translators of the KJV overlooked one passage: Revelation 16:3, which says -- "And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of a dead man: and every living soul died in the sea."

Properly translated, Genesis 1:20, 21 says: "And God went on to say: “Let the waters swarm forth a swarm of living souls and let flying creatures fly over the earth upon the face of the expanse of the heavens.” And God proceeded to create the great sea monsters and every living soul that moves about, which the waters swarmed forth according to their kinds, and every winged flying creature according to its kind. And God got to see that it was good."

some people seem to debate animals having spirits. Revelation depicts Jesus riding out of heaven on a horse. How did it come out of heaven without a spirit?

As for souls, I don't know...aren't we splitting hairs?

Yes. The same Hebrew word to describe our souls describes animals in the OT. Animals though arent made in the image of God.

No. Human beings do not have souls either. The Bible teaches this very clearly.

Here is the explanation from the Bible.
