I wash his face ALL the time, but it still smells. He's a boxer and has wrinkles all over his nose. Is there a product out there that can take this smell away? Thanks!

Baby wipes can be used daily, make sure to get down into those wrinkles really good. they will help to clean and have a pleasent smell to. also johnsons and johnsons baby shampoo is safe to use on his face, or any other tearless shampoo for dogs. make sure he is on a good diet with a high quality dog food (nutro is really good). make sure he has his teeth cleaned on a regular basis as well. a trip to the groomer can make a big difference as well, they have medicated shampoos that they can carefully clean his wrinkles with, a build up of bacteria can cause stinky wrinkles. and if all else fails, a trip to the vet to make sure it isnt a more serious problem, the groomer can let you know if that is neccessary

For dogs with wrinkles it is not good enough to just wash the face. You must clean the between the wrinkles because food and other drit becomes lodged in the folds of skin. If that is scary take him to a groomer and ask them to do it for you. As for shampoo use a tear free product for dogs ask for it at a large petstore.

What food are you feeding? I recomment Royal Canin. They have one for Boxers and it helps with that. Basically it has stuff in the food to help kill the bacteria from the inside out. If not that adding Salmon oil to his food. It's Omega 3's which will help with the skin (as well as the coat). What are you cleaning his face with? Go to you local pet store (not petco or petsmart they don't know ****!) and ask for a good natural cleaner that's safe for his face.

It might be his ears or his teeth. Talk to your vet about a wash for his ears that you can do at home. We had a beagle that we had to do that to, but it was over 20 years ago, and I don't remember the name of the wash. Have you had his teeth cleaned? It's amazing the odor that comes from a dog's mouth even when it's CLOSED!! (LOL)

i wonder if it's not his breath instead of his wrinkles...could he be eating something he's not supposed to? i have a bulldog and i know plenty about wrinkles, but his never smell, but sometimes he's caught eating some other's dogs poo, a hose to the mouth and he hasn't done it in awhile.

I'll bet its not his face. Take a good look at his teeth, and if you see tarter, there is the problem. Some times internal problem can cause a bad breath also.

Take him to the vet to make sure there's no infection going on. I don't think there's really a face-safe shampoo on the market.

soap. lol. just make sure you are getting under the wrinkles. If it s too bad, you may want to take him to the vet, maybe something else is wrong.

Call your Vet. Maybe it's a diet problem. I'm sure the Vet can help you over the phone at no charge.
