I have been dating a lady for about four months. Sending flowers at birthday, also various cards. Would it be appropriate for me to buy her a Birthstone ring valued at $150 for Valentines Day???? Would it be too "forward" at this point in the relationship.????
Thanks for your input.

Added information. We have not had sex at this point. I am not pushing the issue. I "really" enjoy her company.

That sounds so nice. She will know that you have put some thought into this, and that will be what matters to her. She shouldn't feel obligated to buy you something that expensive, though, so don't be disappointed if she doesn't.
My best to you both.

I personally think that any gift would be very much appreciated by the angel you are dating , however ..........give this some thought , could she afford to buy you the same monetary value present and if not would it embarrass her? I think the thought behind you giving her the ring btw is a gorgeous , and she sure is very lucky to have you , and i dont believe a birthstone ring at any point in a relationship is too forward , now give her a diamond ring , and uhmmmmm well yeah you see what im getting at , I hope you have a wonderful Valentines day!!!!

It depends on the lady whether it would be acceptable or not. My advice to you would be to buy her a gold chain with her birthstone on it instead therefore taking no chances. With a ring you have to get her size right etc.
I suggest a single red rose, a nicely wrapped chain and dinner. Book well in advance as Valentines Day will be busy.
:)

That sounds super sweet! Four months is a good amount of time, and it's not like it's an engagement ring!

My friend and I think that it would be very nice and conciderate. Dont tell her how much it is. We know that we would love it and its not like you are asking for her hand in marrige. This is a prime time in your relationship and this will make it or brake it. Well Good luck!

If she is special she is worth it. The gesture would show her your in it for the long run. I think it is sweet. I don't think it is too forward, especially if you two already had sex.

Good question, I think that it'd be a beautiful gesture, but you dont want her to think she has to buy you something that expensive. Ya know?
