My neighbor has 2 dogs a pit bull and a mutt. They are always loose in the neighborhood. I have caught them in the act of crapping in my front yard. I have to be careful when walking on my grass because who knows what I will step on. Any suggestions on what I can do to keep them off and still be a good neighbor?

Scoop up a pile, in a plastic bag, and take it to your neighbor. tell him that his dogs left something behind..If he doesn't take the hint, then he is hopeless, and no sense in trying to be nice about it anymore.

You could get a motion activated sprinkler. When the dog (or any other animal) enters the yard, the sprinkler will turn on. You could pick up the poo in your yard and put it in front of your neighbor's front door. Also, if there are leash laws in your area, you could report the dogs running lose to animal control.

I solved this problem with my neigbor by scooping up the poop with a shovel and throwing in front of their door. It was an ongoing problem, though (a few years) and I had talked to them numerous times with no results. Sometimes people are just rude and need to be faced with the consequences.
also, why are you worried about being a good neighbor when they are terrible neigbors?

call the city see if it has a leash regulation - if it does get a video digicam or a digicam and take photos of the offending animal off its leash and on your components - immediatly call the police and checklist it and teach them the photos (verify your date & taime are set properly to exhibit on your photos - your neighbor gets a value ticket - the fines can upload up speedy!!!! My uncle did this after approximately 2 weeks of on a daily basis the fines have been up over $1500 and the neighbor replaced into required to look in courtroom given 3 days in detention center and recommended if it ever happened returned the animal may well be destroyed - in my opinion it replaced into the owner no longer the dogs who mandatory to be positioned down yet nonetheless!!! additionally you ought to purchase a dogs whistle and whilst the dogs step onto your backyard blow your little heart out!!! - or a fog horn works properly too - then the neighbor is familiar with how stressful it is - in the event that they call the law enforcement officials on the fog horn - then you definitely've the reason - their dogs replaced into off his leash and getting into your backyard twords you and you have been afriad you used the horn to scare the dogs away - prepare asserting "i replaced into afraid for my existence!" lol

If you have already talked to your neighbor about this more than once, then they are the ones not being good neighbors. Call the dog catcher.

just call the cops and they will dispatch animal control. don't put up with that "crap" anymore. rude neighbors make everyone miserable...but i do like the suggestions of putting the poo back in their yard and spraying them with a hose, but you shouldn't have to go through all that trouble...call the popo, that's what they do, settle disputes

You can call animal control or police. You can also seek legal action. If you have the money and time, talk with a lawyer about a civil suit. If they think they might have to pay something, then they might choose to control their animals. Also, their animals could be taken and/or destroyed after repeatedly failing to control the animals.

Why don't you try sending a card asking politly if the owner of the dog could do his/her best to keep the dog off your lawn, or perhaps poop and scoop off your lawn. If not try calling your local office for pet problems.

Have you talked to your neighbor about this? Sometimes a simple visit with the neighbor is all it will take to get it to stop.

i stop and talk to the neighbour.. i dont' imagine he's allowed to have his dogs running a mock without a lease (specially the pitbul not to be mean but its the law in most places)

if it doesn't stop after you speak to them.. i'd start shoveling the dog poop into their yard...

say here you can have your poop back!

thats what i'd do :)
