NOOOOOO! Don't use peroxide! The best natural things for your throat are warm salt water (1 teaspoon salt to 8 ounces of water), warm tean with honey and lemon and warm chicken soup. Also you can get some Chloroseptic spray, take Tylenol or Ibuprofen and use throat lozenges such as N'ice, Cepastat..etc.
Ask the local druggist if they carry the ones called Super Troche, they were great but hard to find. You may also want to go get a strep test done. It is the season for that and that could very well be your problem. Strep can turn into some nasty secondary issues that you don't want. Take care and good luck!

You can try peroxide. What I do is I take baking soda and salt water and mix it together and gargle it warm. Sure it stings, but it WILL make your sore throat go away in about 3 days at the most if you gargle twice a day!!!!!!

Gargle with salt water and drink honey. Honey stops bacteria from growing. You have to constantly drink it and don't drink anything after it, it will rinse away. It needs to lay there and coat the membrane. Also take 2000mg. of Vitamin C 3x's a day along with Echinacea pills, Vitamin E. 1000 IU's 3x's a day. Drink green tea all the time to prevent getting ill. Chloreseptic has a spray and lozenges which numb the area very well.

I had a sore throat with a cold the week before Christmas. Using a humidifier added moisture to the air and helped my sore throat. Also drinking lots of cold water helped too.
I think I'd rinse with mouthwash like cephacol to kill germs, but you can use peroxide too, but i don't think it will help that much.

Don't do peroxide - it doesn't help.
Warm salt water - 1 teaspoon of salt per cup of warm water. Try Chloraseptic spray or lozenges. Tylenol or Motrin for pain. If it persists for longer than 48 hours, see the doctor - it could be strep.

Salt water would be a better start than peroxide. Just mix a good amount of salt with warm water.
