Eosinophil is a type of white blood cells that occur in the blood. It forms about 2--4 % of the total white cells.

IT is normally raised ,more commonly, in:

1.Allergic reactions of any kind.
2. Worms infestation of the intestine
3. etc. etc.

You will need further investigations by your doctor.

Not a wild guess, but...

A white blood cell with a lobed nucleus and cytoplasmic granules. Eosinophils make up 1 - 3% of the white cell count. They contribute to the destruction of parasites by releasing chemical mediators such as histamine.

high levels of esinophils can some time indicate a parasitic infection. You could have gotten it from eating organic foods, or imported foods. Esinophils are part of your immune system.

What other tests (if any) have been done?

I'd make sure that autoimmunity and endocrine panels are requested.
