Primarily because it was the first book to be widely printed. When the printing press was first invented, it was used to print, primarily, bibles. Therefore, bibles became the inexpensive book to own because there were so many more of them than there were other types of books that were still being produced by hand.

If the bible is fictional, then provide me the evidence that existence began in accordance to guy's theory. do not provide me conjecture, hypothesis, or hypotenuses. teach me those lacking-links between guy and animal? What led to the large Bang when you consider that their grow to be no gravity and no warmth.

it has been around in English form for, what, 400 years??? and in Latin back to the Coucil of Micea about 1000 years ago and in Aramic scrolls earlier than that! Whether it is fiction or not is a matter of personal choice.
