If you only watch the news media you will get this impression. However if you pay close attention to our actions - you will notice that we have been running a carefully balanced strategy. We have been concentrating on financial sanctions while positioning our military in a manner that has effectively neutralized the Iranian military without firing a shot.

Most certainly, someone will destroy Iran's nuclear complex. It could be the US that does it, ir it could be Israel.

Iran is already the master mind behind much of what is going on in the middle east, so to call it another war is a bit misleading!

If Iran jumped in with it's military it would force the US to untie the other hand it has been fighting with and start fighting a war that shows no mercy. You know the kind I'm talking about, the kind that wins wars, like the carpet bombing of Dresden or the sacking of Hiroshima and Nagasaki!

These pathetic democrats must be sent a message from the American people. We want this war won, and then we want our troops home, in that order. So all we want from them is to lead, follow, or get their @sses out of the way.

President Bush's speech the other night seemed to indicate he is already going to attack terrorist camps in both Iran and Syria. Were you listening? I think the US will not go to war with Iran, however the US will be attacking forces working in Iran. I think Iran and Syria will stand by and let the US do that. They will have to for their own good. They can not stand against the US and I think the other more moderate nations in the middle east who will agree that those terrorist groups causing unrest in Iraq will have to be destroyed.

It will not be considered 'another war', but will be just a necessary part of stabilizing Iraq so Iraq can have peace within its borders.

briang731... bvincent, When will you be enlisting? This pathetic democrat as you call me has already served 2 tours in Iraq, and probably will be going back for number 3 before its over with.
I am sick and tired of reading posts on here from people so "for" war yet not wanting to do a damn thing to help fight it.
War is the last thing we should be wanting.

No, i dont think so. Its not that President Bush doesnt want to, he is begging for the chance. Its just that Iraq ended up in such a mess he cant. Well, he could but with the mess in Iraq he couldnt bolster the support even from his own republican party to justify war with Iran at this point.
If Iraq had been a cakewalk as he thought it would be you can bet we would have invaded Iran and Syria next.

With what, battle re-enacment members? Maybe we can arm High School seniors and send them in? We simply do not have the manpower to initiate another invasion...otherwise, I'm sure Pres. Bush would have been in Iran by now (at the behest of the war-mongering, profiteers that recommended the Iraq invasion).

We are still in the talking stage.
If however Iran nukes anyone. Than all bets are off and will be full out war.

I think that is likely in the foreseeable future if Bush remains president for a long time. But Our image in the middle east is already bad, i don't think the U.S government want to make it more worse.

Definately no. Fight a war in three fronts. As is our Armed Forces are running ragged, our guys could simply not keep up the tempo, unless... the draft is reenacted and many more nations join the fight for WWIII. Regardless, I am glad I have no time left in my IRR commitment.
