Is Oahu the same as Honolulu ?

it's not the same but they are related. Honolulu is the capital of Hawaii and it is ON Oahu, which is an island.

oahu is the name of the island that honolulu is on. if you've never been to hawaii i would definately recommend oahu for your first visit. it is wonderful! they have all kinds of tourist stuff and interesting things to see.
