I want to call my daughter Maekarinino after my sister but my spouse does wants to call her Beckhamina after that football guy. I think Beckhamina is a foolish name for a baby but my spouse insists such a great player should be honoured in this way. I have suggested we could use Davina as a middle name because the football guy is called David but he says that could be anybody and only by calling her Beckhamina can we show respect for this football player. I still think that Beckhamina is an awful name but my spouse insists this should be her first name.
Do you agree that Beckhamina is a poor name and I should make sure the baby is called Maekarinino like my sister?

Oh dear! I think the problem isn't some much the birth of your baby as the birth of yourselves. Should your daughter be fortunate enough to have your combined IQ, it's unlikely that she will be able to spell either name until she reaches the tender age of 37.

OK, to be serious, Beckhamina is a definite no no...and I'm a football fan.

Dont call her either - the first one she will spend her entire life spelling it to people, and the second one is just plain ludicrous.

Whatever happened to Lucy, Jane, Amelia, Alice, Katy, Emma, Elizabeth, Amanda, Carol, Sue, Stephanie etc?

p.s don't call her Davina either, she's an annoying tv presenter.

You're kidding right? I would not name her anything that most people will not be able to pronounce when they read it. Sally or Mary or Tiffany or Cyndi are all good names! At least I can pronounce those.

i dont want to insult you or your baby names as both are very different and unique...but theese children have to go to school and their friends wont see the beauty in their names and unfortunately will get made fun of...but it really all comes down to the fact that you are the parent and you will decide what name is best and suites the child best....GOODLUCK!!!!!!!

beckhamina is awful! you cant call your child that! also, maekarinino is going to be awfully hard for your child to spell and learn to say. why not think of another original, unusual name?
