I would assume so. Here is how this works. In genetics you are taught how to use punnent squares where you draw out four squares 2 rows of 2. Along the sides of the squares you write the parents blood type. A,B,AB,and O are all 1 component of blood type. The Rh factor (the + or -) is another. So the possibilities for an A+ parent are A+A+ or A+A-. There are 2 As because you get a gene from each of your parents. The Rh+ sign is dominant so you have to have two - signs to actually be A-. You and your sister are (A-A-). Once the squares are lined up you fill in the boxes using one type from the left and one type from above. In the case of your parents they must both be A+A-, so the squares read: A+ A-
A+] A+A+, A+A-
A-] A-A+, A-A-

These squares tell you the possible blood types your parents could have given birth to which are A+ and A-.
So, yes your father is probably your real father

The answer to this really important question is yes. And the answer is for a much simpler reason than the blue-eyed parents having a child with green eyes that we discuss in our answer at http://www.thetech.org/genetics/ask.php?id=101.

The reason is that people who test negative for Rh aren’t always Rh-. The test isn’t always sensitive enough to get the right answer (although it usually does). And it only tests for one of the two Rh genes. And it doesn’t test for any of the other genes that can cause similar problems.

Yes he can be. If you and your sister are Rhesus negative that means you both got a neg. Rhesus gene from each of your 2 parents. Therefore your parents both have a neg and a positive gene for this blood type. So your parents could also have kids with a ++, or +- combo and you two with your neg/neg combo.

Hi, I would presume so, but obviously can't say for definate that he is your dad, but usually if parent is a - (negative) a child can be the opposite. I am O- and my son is o+. Only way you can find out, which you obviously want to do, is DNA.
