Porkey Jr., first of all change your name, it helps when introduced to a new guy not to be known as Porkey. Next try where you shop, play or relax. Do you like books, go to the bookstore, the library, etc. Plenty of places other than bars to meet people.

good for you. put the damn joints out of business. if that is all you can find to do, shame on you. if that is where you dates like to hang, dump them immediately. been there done that. meet at an exercise place, church or supermarket. exchange nujmbers and talk onlkine for a long time. at most meet for a lunch ever so often. and it is okay inthis day and time to have a healthy dose of paranoia. the woods are full of crazy bears and boogers. check them out carefully. otherwise you can slip into terrible trouble in a big way and fast. take it slowly and think and think. always keep a same sex bud at hand to avoid lonliness and impulsivity. lol

Try a local gym or a community center, they have a lot of activities where you can find someone with the same interests

I met my husband at Church. The library is also a good place. Also, volunteering is a great way to meet others.

Try Barnes and Nobel.......bookstores are always a pretty decent place to have a conversation without being drunk or having loud people talking while you're trying to get to know someone.
there's always Match.com as well, just do them locally though, and weed as many guys as you can, as alot may be out for one thing........MMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, LOL

community service and religious organizations(churches, temples, etc). these are great places to meet people. your local library probably has a book-club, too. as a last-ditch effort, internet dating sites can be okay if you're careful not to get scammed. don't send anyone money, not ever.

When ever people try hard to find somebody they cant... Then when you least expect it you will all of a sudden find somebody. So my point is, try not to look and you will find.
