Don't lie. It will come back to haunt you. If you are caught up with your work, just ask if you could leave early. Tell him you are fooling around on Answers and not doing anything anyway. You might as well take some personal hours instead of him paying you for nothing.

Are you a woman? Is your boss a man? If the answer to both is yes then start talking about a, you know, female problem. You will be out of there in minutes.

Try one of these:
"I think I'm ovulating."
"I have to go have a fitting for my AK-47 bandoleer."
"I think I need to go adjust my meds." (Blink frantically and fake a twitch while saying this.)
"I have a friend coming in who's gone off his meds, and I really don't think it's a good idea if he comes in here to meet me." (Delivered with a worried look.)
"I have to go RIGHT NOW. And oh-- don't worry about that box I left under my desk. Just be careful not to touch it or jolt it with anything." (And run away.)
"I need to attend a meeting of the Young Republican Goth League."

Tell them a personal issue has come up and it would be very helpful if you could leave early......making them feel like they are doing something very nice for you by letting you go......and thank them sincerely and discreetly.....like it is your secret.....

Where I work, you don't have to tell them anything. If you have vacation or personal time on the books you are free to use it Don't lie, it will come back to haunt you

Don't lie... Just ask if you can split early. Is leaving early really worth compromising your integrity? He or she probably won't be fooled anyway...

There is no way he can know your not sick. Even if you really are sick he wouldn't believe you because it is Friday afternoon. You might as well stick it out, its almost quittin' time. (I guess)
