Back in the day it meant you spent time in jail, and for every row of web is for the years you've spent in prison
But nowadays people have lost the meanings the tattoo, and get it anyways, I guarantee half the people you see with spider webs on theyre elbow have NOT BEEN IN PRISON!

I have a Spider Web on my elbow and I can tell you that there's no special meaning to it other than it's a spider web on my elbow. I have never been in jail a day in my life. Maybe theres something that it represents in some other part of the country but where I'm from in just another spider web on an elbow.

I don't think so I had a friend who had a spider web tattoo on his elbow and I think it looked so cool..
p.s He had never been to jail lol

Some call it a "Thinkers Elbow" from being rested on the knee in a thinking position while doing time in prison. However, it seems to have been adopted by white supremecists, mainly skinheads. If you or your son, or daughter is around someone with one of these tatoos, I would definately do a background check or avoid them altogether.

The orgins of it were used as a deterrant (not sure if i spelled that right)...the rings around the the web tell you how many people u have killed. It is also used to tell people not to mess with you or to stay away from you.
