Puppies need de-wormed every 2-3 weeks until the feces tests clear of the eggs.

the pieces are tape worm segments, which come from ingesting fleas..the 'whole' worm is likely a roundworm, with are acquired from the mom..So, he needs a wormer that will take care of both types.

Note to the above answer..Worms are there, whether you SEE them or not.. they never just go away on their own..

hi you need to take this pup tp the vet and get him vet wormed if he's pooping out with appears to be peices of worms this is actually tape worms they look like white leaches dog get these worms from eating fleas the worm that you described as a whole worm was probably a large round worm which resembles boiled spegettie noodles its possible that the person you got this pup from might have used over the counter wormer this pup needs to be vet wormed they'll do a worm test and let you know what all kinds of worms your pup has and they'll give you the wormer you need and they'll tell you the dosage vet wormer might be a little expensive but you'll get the best results from the vet wormer

it usually takes 2-3 times to de worm a dog. The vet can do a test where he does a fecal exam to show that the dog is clear...

If the worms are bad, a dog can need treatment up to 3 times. Take him to your vet for a full checkup (you should do this anytime you welcome a new animal to your home) and bring in a fecal sample. Most likely he needs more treatments.

It can take up to a month for all of them to come out. if it seems to get worse, go to the vet. Sometimes, they have to be given the dewormer several times.
