I want to join the Military, but my fiance makes it seem that if i do they will leave me. I feel like i have no real purpose right now, I can't find a job and I can't afford school and i think the military could help me find a way. I want to join but i don't want to loose my fiance. If anyone can help please do.

First of all, I applaud you for admitting to yourself that your career options are currently limited and that you still have enough ambition to leap forward in life. Now as for the fiance, unless she is willing to accept the burden of your combined financial responsibilities in the future...go for it (lottery maybe?). However, I don't think "I told you so" will go over so well with her when when your both married and struggling day to day to make ends meet. More than likely, your relationship will come to an end anyway, it's just a matter of when. If your fiance is truly the "one" then they will support any aspiration you pursue that involves you bettering yourself, and they will still want to be a part of your life (military or not). If it doesn't work out, BELIEVE ME, there will be more than enough opportunities to find someone new...you'll find it's a very big world out there with many options and opportunities. You just have to do what you think is right. Best of luck.

Don't know why you think going to fight in an unjust war is going to improve anything in you life right now. Someone said something about the benefits that they offer military personnel and their families-HA-that's a laugh!! But if you're DEAD, I guess you won't have 2 worry about what your girlfriend will be doing, now will you. Don't wanna sound mean, but, really, you can come up with some better alternative to getting your life together. Good luck 2 u!!

You can afford school if you really want to go. There are loans acailable to people with little to no income that are deffered until you graduate from college. Try talking to a financial aid office at a school near you to get more information about how to finance college before you make the decision to go into th military .

If your fiance is this controlling now, can you imagine how it will be after the blessed nuptials? You do what is right for you. If your fiance loves you, then this person will support you. You are an adult and very capable of making life decisions. If you weren't ready, I am sure you would not even be considering marriage. Best of luck.

Here's the deal. I am going through the same thing with my girlfriend and we've had many conversations about this. If they love you, God will make it work. If they don't they will find any reason to break it off. Well I joined the Navy and my ex-girlfriend and I are speaking but we have a mutual understanding.

If they really love you, they'll support you. Keep in mind that military life isn't for everyone. You may find it very restrictive. But, if you don't take the leap, you'll never know.

You can have either the military or the woman. You'll have to make that choice, as no one can make it for you.

You could become a drug dealer, if you don't care about contributing to our slavery to rich trash who send us to war for their own benefit, while exempting their sissy-snob, girly-man sons. Bushit doesn't care if his stupidity gets you killed over there; you're not a Preppy.
