i actually heard it was bad for you and i just started walking a few miles a day and now this worries me, is this true?

No it is not true, it will help you lose weight and I don't know where you heard it was bad for you but all the reputable diet and exercise magazines and books recommend it and so do most Dr.s recommend that walking a good form of exercise and can help with weight loss

I am also wondering who told you that walking is dangerous. It's one of the safest ways to lose weight. Several years ago, I lost 85 pounds, mainly from walking almost every day. I haven't gained the weight back--well, I've gained a little, but not very much. But now I'm back to walking several times a week, and I feel great. I highly recommend walking for exercise.

if you do it frequently i can help you lose weight. aslong as you dont go home and eat a pint of ice cream (thats what i used to do and it didnt help!)
