Honestly any time is good to visit New York because it is always alive here but it is very cold here during that time. I don't really see much of a problem if you come at that time except maybe for the weather.

Well, the weather is very unpredictable in March. You will get good hotel deals and probably flight deals as well. If you are ok with cold blustery days then it os ok.
If you want to really enjoy New York, you should try to visit in June or September. Weather much nicer and everything is available.
Anyway, enjoy your trip, NYC is the greatest city in the US!!!!

I visited New York in February and had a great time. It was cold and there was snow on the ground, but it wasn't a big deal. Just take a warm coat.

I suggest April/May or September/October (maybe December for the Christmas festivities).
New York requires a lot of walking. It's really hot and humid in the summer and cold and windy in the winter.

HELL YEAH!
Especially around St. Patrick's Day!
It'll be either cold or warm, sunny or cloudy. Obviously unpredictable but fun fun fun! TONS to do, lot's to see eat and drink.
