Last week I came home to find a dog sitting on my driveway, rumbling at me as I walked into the house I pretty much ignored it. The next day it was still there, and the next...3 days after it had shown up I decided to feed it even though it had a collar and I thought it -had- to belong to someone on my road. A week later, it's claimed me as it's Momma -_-

I know it's a Chihuahua mix of some sort, I'm just curious as to what else it's mixed with. I'm going to -try- and keep it, it's just up to my Mother whether or not she wants the goofy (but cute) thing.

The following link is to my photobucket, where I put the picture.

Don't freak out on me! lol. I probably should have included that I've put up flier's everywhere using that picture. He has a collar, but no tag...and no evidence of a tag. He also won't let men get near him, at all...even with food. So I'm wondering if his last owner was abusive or something.

If this helps, he's about ---well----close to a foot tall and definately a foot long.

Chihuahua's are very good dogs, very loyal and loving, a happy fun dog to have, you may have saved this dogs life. Can you believe it I have the SAME exact dog except mime is a little smaller, and she is a wonderful dog. The breed mix, is a Jack Russle Terrier. Do you best to get your Mom to let you keep the dog they are WONDERFUL PETS. Best Wishes and Happy Pet Ownership!

What a cutie!

I looked at the picture before I read any of the responses and the first thing I thought of was... corgi, and then I saw that a lot of other people were saying the same thing. LOL!

It could very well be some other breed, but I really see corgi in the little one.

That's not Corgi I would say a Shiba (in the face and ears) goldenXCollie X. I breed Shibas :-) and they are a very sketchy breed if not bred for temprement or socialized properly and the fact that Shiba's have a tendency to not come when called and wander makes my assumption more believable.

What a cute dog! I'm not sure how you ignored it the first day!

I'm guessing a Corgi as well. Whatever it is, it's a cutie.

Cute! I think that it is mixed with Pembroke Welsh Corgi. If your mom does let you keep it good luck!

He/she is cute. Do me a favor and please call the person listed on the collar before taking care of him/her. The owners might be worried sick.

If you the dog doesn't have a name tag, just call a couple shelters and let them know you have the dog in your possession. The first thing an owner does is call the local pound or shelter in search of their beloved pet.

I know that's not what you want to hear, but, please, you never know.. an older couple might be looking for their 'loved' one.

But, if you do call, and no one claims him/her, keep him/her. I'm sure you'll provide a good home for the dog.
