Start with proper skin care. There are cleansers available that will reduce oil production in your skin. Then follow up with a moisturizer designed for oily skin - the best one is Cosmedicine called Medi-Matte. It mattifies the skin and works as a barrier for oil.
Apply powder only once, but if you get shiny, use oil blotting sheets. The are little rice papers you press to oily spots on your face - they will absorb the oil without ruining the make up. Press, don't rub!
If you don't have the blotting sheets, you can use a clean tissue like the one that the butt gaskets in toilets are made of.
You can find the cleansers, the moisturizer and the blotting sheets at Sephora.

Try starting with a good base for oily skin... like a face lotion specically for oily skin and then add your foundation, which should always be the "oily skin" kind..... then you can apply powder when you start to get shiny or keep those little rice paper packets with you to absorb the oil.
Don't let it bother you too much, I have the exact same kind of oily skin..... the good news is we will have way less wrinkles than everyone else!

you can get thses towelettes from like any drugstore that you just press on your face and they just soak up the oil. do this then follow with a good pressed powder and you should be fine for the day. also try some facial washes for oily skin, the absorb much of the oil and are very refreshing.

Try a powder thast lasts longer. Bare Minerals or Sheer Cover- I seen them advertised on infomercials and have purchased both, they are GREAT- and it is NATURAL, not any of the pore cloging ingredients in them. Also, try washing your face with a cleanser that will help to reduce oils-which is why your face is shinning so much.
***And to the girl above me- little music melody- she can ask as many times as she needs. I guess no one, INCLUDING YOU, has provided her with the right answer yet. If you don't like it then move on!!! ***

You need to get a personalizer. It absorbs the oil and you put you rpowder or foundation over it.
It works wonders for oily skin, and oily T-ZONES

there is a product called biore (shine control) cleanser...and both biore and clean&clear have transparent pads that litterally take the oil away...and you can see it on the transparent strip. these products are less than 7 dollars.
