I'm going out w/ my friend tonight, to a bar, and I want to know which alcoholic drinks are 'ok' to drink when on a diet/trying to eat healthy in general...? Are some things more calorie-filled than others? Which ones? etc.. Thanks so much!

Stay away from all beer. Its carb level is like a loaf of bread in each bottle.

Rum and diet coke is good, and low on the calories (I think it may even be calorie free, but don't quote me on that).

Generally speaking, alcohol makes the body store fat regardless of how many calories are in it. But since dieting shouldn't involve complete deprivation, there are some drinks you can have that are "not-as-bad." Like drinks that don't have a lot of sugar in them or some of the low-carb beers they have now. These will all contain less calories than most other drinks.

all alcohol is high in calories, if you drink mixed ones the one with syrups or milks, cream and mixers can be very high. hard alchohol is about 100 calories to the oz. they also can make you retain water and are not really a good thing to drink at all while dieting. Drink a diet soda of seltzer water no one will know you are not drinking

I don't think there is such a thing as a "low cal" alcoholic drink. Even without extra ingredients, alcohol is fattening. Red wine is good for you, but just one glass a day. Obviously sweet drinks are more fattening--like anything with an umbrella.

I really have had sips. No, i imagine it really is an pretty dumb component to lie about contained in the first position, because i imagine underage ingesting is stupid (with the exception of a sip right here and there, obviously). i have had distinct wines and rum (in a daiquiri). i imagine it really is it. i have hated each and everything i have tried. also i believe the favor to assert that i'm disgusted that some childrens right here drink (better than a sip or 2) with their be certain's knowledge. I call that undesirable parenting.

Not one alcoholic drink is healthy. it is dangerous for your health and everyone else's too especially if u plan on driving. i am a recovering alcoholic so please don't even have one. One can lead to a life of misery

Quite frankly...I prefer wine myself...and one glass of wine helps in digestion...you might want to think about that! If you are looking for a good wine...zinfandel is the best!!!!

I've always heard a glass or two of red wine is good for your heart. But don't over do.

Red wine and white wine, because they contain antioxidents. HTH : )
