The ribs hurt the worst out of all of my tattoos. The back wasn't too bad though.
I don't know about the hip though, the shoulder really doesn't hurt. Your muscle can be sore for a while just from being pushed on, but it doesn't hurt.

The pain definitely differs... but it also depends on the individual. I have two on my back and one on my stomach. The worst part was the one on my stomach when the needle was on or close to the hip bone, but overall it wasn't bad at all! The one on my lower back, however, was much worse. Everyone will tell you something different, so it really just depends. One of my friends got one on her shoulder and practically fell asleep during it. Stay away from the ribs! I heard those are the absolute worst!

Yes, shoulders hurt less than say an ankle. I had one on my hip and it wasn't bad. My sister got her shoulder done and said it was easy. Also the more intricate the design, the longer it takes, of course. I was "under the needle" just over an hour, only 2 really intricate spots hurt some. It healed quickly though and I don't regret getting one, in fact, they can become quite addicting!

Yes it hurts more in some places than others. For example, the shoulder doesnt hurt much, but the hip would. The outside of the bicep would hurt less than the inside.

Yes it does make a difference and each area is different for each person.
I have found the lower back/kidney area to be the most uncomfortable.
I found the least painful was the ankle, chest and shoulders. I have an armband and that was fine to.

That stuff can skinny your blood, plus the discomfort is all area of the tattoo. it is going to injury; the shoulder blades form of made my arm tingle, like the sensation of being asleep. besides, discomfort is temporary, so do no longer worry approximately it. that's fairly bearable. verify you consume a properly meal approximately an hour purely before, and if it is going to be a protracted consultation you ought to choose some snacks, notwithstanding i'm guessing your tattoo will simplest take an hour or 2. Aftercare varies from character to character and artist to artist. Your artist will ought to furnish you instructions to conform with--adjust to them! hear on your artist above certainly all and sundry else. Aftercare normally involves some form of ointment (i take advantage of A&D, notwithstanding i've got heard of employing aquaphor and tattoo goo as good) for the known few days. whilst employing ointment, you will have the skill to opt to rub it in useful and simplest use a dime length quantity or much less. then you definitely'll have the skill to circulate to an unscented lotion like Lubriderm, Curel, or Jergens. you will additionally choose a definite unscented cleansing soap to scrub 2 circumstances an afternoon with. once you're scientific care, do no longer choose or scratch. combat the urge, once you communicate approximately that it will get itchy! All in all, getting a tattoo is painful, and aftercare is fairly tedious. notwithstanding, a tattoo is for a existence; it is an investment. discomfort is temporary, and somewhat, aftercare does not very final long. In no longer as much as a month, you have gotten a stunning piece of artwork it relatively is with you for existence! good fulfillment, and congrats! i'm excited for you and that i choose all is going good!

The more bony areas hurt more, such as the ankle and your hip would hurt like anything. I would say your shoulder would hurt a bit as well but not as much as the hip
