Lust is more of a physical/sexual thing than love. You can be in lust with someone but not love them.

Love is concern for the other person; lust only considers its own satisfaction. Love leads on to bigger and better things; lust is destructive and brings pain and suffering into people's lives. Love is naturally good and human; lust is deceptive and animal like, and will never deliver what it promises. Animals cannot fall into love, only lust. Spiritually sensible people see this upfront; sensual people eventually learn the hard way and pay a mean price.

Awe good question. There is a very thin line from determining the two apart. I look at it like this. If I can say I love you because I need you it is lust has to be lust for me...But if I can say I Need you because I love you and because I don't want to be without you it is love for me.. ...

When you first meet someone you in lust with them. You 2 are just getting to know one another. So pretty much you think the other person is perfect. As time goes on you find oout that the other person isn't so perfect and you see certain flaws. When you can look past those flaws, you are in love with the person.

Ask youself this: If the person you're in love with was in a car accident tomorrow, and was sentenced to life in a wheelchair, would you stay with him/her? would you go on loving them forever, till death do you part? If the answer is yes, then you are truly in love. Lust is all that good stuff before you fall in 'real' love.

Lust is just sexual feelings. Love is much more. Like sex doesnt really matter just as long as you have that person you love with you.
