I want to live because this is the only chance at life I get, because I have goals and people that I love, because I have the opportunity to improve things for others if I try to.
I don't know if it is different than the reason my dog wants to live, as he doesn't talk to me about it. If it is the same, then I have a good-hearted dog.

I don't need a god in order to live. Is the only reason you live because of a god? It doesn't make sense to me, why is that the only reason worth living? Life is great, it's much more fun once you stop thinking about religion and start enjoying it.

Because unlike religionists they generally don't believe in an afterlife so they appreciate the need to make the most of this life. I've gave you a reasonable answer but in truth your stupid question didn't deserve it.
