I got my tattoo about one week ago... how long until it is normal?

I do apply lotion and care for it correctly, since it's on my foot I've even been wearing sandals in January!!

It comes down to how fast you heal. When I got a tattoo on my shoulder, the scab was gone in 7 days. I know people with tattoos in the same place that they had a scab for 2-3 weeks.
I just heal really fast
Just keep up with the lotion and it'll be gone soon enough.

Make sure you wash it a couple of times a day, only apply a small amount of skin cream on the area, it usually takes about 2 weeks for the scab to form and then fall off. Do NOT pick it off because you will take some of the color out with the scab. Best of luck to you. :)

When it is completely healed, even though I have a tattoo above my...you know and it did not scab or peel at all. I kept it VERY well moisutized and let air get to it, when i was not at work I just left that are barley clothed, if at all. I know they say vasaline clogs it but I used a tiny bit to keep it look fresh after I got it done and it was fine. Maybe the cold January weather is what is causing it to peel- winter air is VERY harsh on the skin. Try using vasaline when you go out and the lotion when you are home- lotion tends to dry up in the skin faster than vasaline.

Your foot is one of the more sensitive areas,
It can take a 2 sometimes 3 weekens for the scabbing to fall off, your artist may have "drilled" on your skin too causing it to be a legnthier healing process.
Go to the Drug store and get "AQUAPHOR" it will help with the scabbing, apply a small amount of it. It does wonders for bad scabbing of tattoos. Its not like A & D or neosporin, so you dont have to worry about it dulling your color! (besides you shouldnt use A&D or neosporin on fresh tatts.

You can also get Vitamin E oil and dab a small amount with a tissue or cotton ball on the scabb itself....

But i sugeest AQUAPHOR

When I got mine it took about 2 weeks. It will depend on your body though. If you take care of the tattoo and your self it should stop soon.

It took mines like two weeks to come off but I was peeling mines off during the process. Sometimes the lotion is the reason why it doesn't peel off because its always moisturized... I might be wrong but yeah
