My eating habits are pathetic, I can eat:
1. Cereal, yogurt, crackers, orange, banana for breakfast
and 5-10 minutes later I'm hungry again
I NEVER GET FULL????? I can eat cereal and yogurt and still be hungry or I can eat chicken, rice, vegetables, bread, salad and 10 minutes later I"M STARVING!!! So the big question is what is wrong with me? What's wrong with my metabolism? I eat 1000-1200 calories a day But it's not enough because later I start binging. what's wrong with me?

You didn't say if you were a guy or girl and how big or old you are. That would help. If you're hitting a growth spurt, you're going to be hungry a lot.

For starters, what you are eating is easily and rapidly digested and in no time you'll be hungry again. Unless you're eating Total or some other high bran cereal, it's going to go straight through you, ditto the yogurt, crackers, and fruit. It's like eating air. The banana tends to stick with you longer though.

I found that I could eat a BIG breakfast (eggs, bacon, toast, juice, milk) and a regular sized lunch (sandwich or similar) and just cereal for dinner, and I lost a bunch of weight without feeling hungry all the time. You might consider eating a big breakfast and see if you find it easier to get through the day without binging.

There IS a disorder called Prader-Willi Syndrome that causes people to feel starving even when they are eating huge amounts of food, but it's extremely rare and if you had it, you'd not be able to stop at 1000 calories a day so it's unlikely you have that.

Perhaps your mind isn't occupied and you get bored. I eat more when I'm bored. It might help to down some juice or water when you think you're getting hungry. And go distract yourself. I dont think anything is wrong with you. But if it would be comfort to you, you can always talk to your doctor. Also a little walk every day might make you feel like you worked for some of the mumching.
Also 1000 calories really isn't that much so I wouldn't worry I'd eat less more often, when I eat more; strangly enough I want more.

cereals, bread, rice etc., are really high in carboydrates...hence - after eating them - you 'crash' down off of the carbs...and then you are hungry again...

i am told that (if you are in england) paul mckenna has a dvd about eating/dieting etc.,...and apparently - what he says really does 'sink in'..and re-educate the way you think about food...the idea is forget the word 'diet' so that might be worth a look?

also..if you are eating 1000-1200 calories a day..thats not too much. if you binge eat chocolate..try the diabetic stuff...it doesnt upset your blood sugar levels which cause the cravings in the first place.

i live my life on the atkins diet...and i am hardly ever hungry, i am slim (now) & have lower cholestoral...so the atkins dvd might also be worth trying & it might suit you.

dont worry though..there is something out there for you..there is nothing wrong with you!! - good luck!

You know what, you ARE normal. But.....you should eat at the right time and get used to it. If you want some snack then yogurt would be good, or fruits. After you get used to the time you eat, you wont be starving that often.

I used to be like that...eacj time I see food I wanna go for it. Im still like that but a little better. I can hold it back now and wait till the meal.

I would suggest a doctor's checkup and I would recommend that you do the Atkins Diet. It's emphasis is on drastically reducing your carbohydrate intake but you can eat everything else. I lost 65 pounds on that diet and you don't go hungry either. You will be able to accomplish both missions with that diet by losing weight and not feeling hungry doing it.

Perhaps you have a big stomach. Like King Louis XIV of France.

" “I have very often seen the king eat four plates of different soups, an entire pheasant, a partridge, a large plateful of salad, mutton cut up in its juice with garlic, two good pieces of ham, a plateful of cakes, and fruits and jams.”"

You should eat lots of fiber (fruit, vegetables) with protein. Cut down on carbohydrates. Include some fat for satiation. Nuts are a great food.

Are you me?? LOL
How long has this been going on? If it has just been recently, no worry. its just a faze your body is going through. Drink LOTS of crystal light or flavored water (the flavor does it for me) just down a glass. Thatll keep you full for a little while. Eat veggies, fruit...healthy foods. That weight will creep right up on your a ss.
If its beenlong term, you ,a want to see a doctor. Its nothing serious, im sure but talk to one.

Does Diabetes run in your family? Excessive thirst/hunger can be a symptom of Diabetes. Your stomach could also be emptying too quickly. I recommend going to a doctor and explaining your symptoms. They can run tests and rule out any serious conditions. I also suggest drinking more water. Sometimes thirst can mimic hunger. Good luck!

Theres nothing wrong with eating a lot, thats a misconception .

You're eating healthy so it's fine, Try and embrace it by hanging out w/ body-builders int he gym.

If you're a girl hang out with the basketball chicks or something, learn to love who you are and don't worry about eating what or what not as long as you appear slim/healthy.

bblbb said something worth noting, you could have a tapeworm in your stomach haha, that'd be gross...get a doctor to flush it out.
