NOBODY is sure it will last (even if they think they are). If people only dated those they knew they'd be with the rest of their lives (or just long-term in general), almost no one would date.
Ya can't know until it happens.

You can't base all your decisions in life on whether something may or may not work out, or you will miss so many good times. If you like him, at least give it a chance...life is strange, you never know how it will turn out.
