sorry, bit sleepy, didn't mean to offend anyone...just curious..i think the more variety the better, but sometimes there are weird questions on here that an english/scottish/irish/welsh person would know the answer to, so was wondering who else was on here.....The world wide web rocks...xxxx

English. The English version of YA is for all the English speakers of the world, though, so at different times of the day you'll see UK, US, Australian, as well as people in Europe and in places like India and the Phillippines who want to practise their English.

Some of the answers are fascinating because of cultural differences.

I'm in Nova Scotia Canada and following is the I AM CANADIAN! rant. Below is the link for the actual commercial.

Hey, I'm not a lumberjack, or a fur trader....
I don't live in an igloo or eat blubber, or own a dogsled....
and I don't know Jimmy, Sally or Suzy from Canada,
although I'm certain they're really really nice.

I have a Prime Minister, not a president.
I speak English and French, not American.
And I pronounce it 'about', not 'a boot'.

I can proudly sew my country's flag on my backpack.
I believe in peace keeping, not policing,
diversity, not assimilation,
and that the beaver is a truly proud and noble animal.
A toque is a hat, a chesterfield is a couch,
and it is pronounced 'zed' not 'zee', 'zed' !!!!

Canada is the second largest landmass!
The first nation of hockey!
and the best part of North America

My name is Joe!!
And I am Canadian!!!

I am American. I have found that in the past several weeks, many of the answer seem to reflect there are quite a lot of English folks here, too.
