I have been to talking to this guy and we are friends/b/f g/f its the early stage of a relationship. I just want to know when he calls me sweety..... For example I just text messaged him telling him to have a good day. He responded with saying, "You to sweety!" When you guys say it is it meant as affectionate words? Is this a guy who is interested in me?

I can't vouch for everyone but alot of times sweety is used in an affectionateway with us . but it does'nt always mean we're in love .

names like sweetie are affection names, they call their pets the same thing cause they can't remember and they don't know the name of the "thing" their talking too. So instead of "HEY YOU !" "sweetie" sounds just adorable to the girlies

well it depends from person to person i will suggest you to look into his eyes when he says u sweety then you can judge whether he is intrested in you or not.
