i agree with sociopath...my son is dyslexic...no one else in our family has it...it is a learning disability...they have to find their own way of learning, and reading, especically...many famous people are dyslexic...tom cruise, cher, even albert einstein...they are very creative and intellegent people...no, it NOT a virus or bacteria

dyslexia? are u sure you have the right word? I have dyslexia and it is not caused by anything you are born w/ it. it is a brain malfunction causing you to transpose numbers, letters, words....ect...(as in you see the numbers 82, but your brain tells you its 28).
they are discuvering that colors effect the brain and that if you view things threw colred or tinted lences it helps the brain to see ands rejester it correctly.
so if you have it dont fret so many people have it but wont admit it, my whole family has it except mom and they are all computer programmers now, thats a weird job that suits dyslexia fine, if you ask me.

I dont believe they have discovered what causes dyslexia. Read the website below for more information.

Neither. It's more along the lines of a "crossed wire" in the brain. It has no effect on intelligence, just on the ability to absorb specific types of information without adapting to a different method of learning.

Do you mean if the mother carrying the child had a disease and defected her unborn childs brain?. I believe it's just neurological.

dyslexia is not an infectious disease.

it is a reading disability.
