You must first have already been in for a couple years, you must be at a minumum of a SrA(E-4). It is a special duty assignment and you must be accepted for the course and class.

I have one budy who decided to do that and he likes it he says its not that hard but there is alot of paper work. But if thats what u wana do then go for it.

I have a buddy who is an Air Force recruiter in Dayton, and he says it's a good job and he usually doesn't have problems making quota, but you have to bear in mind he's right near Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, so having the planes flying in the neighborhood really helps. No idea how tech school was but my buddy is of average intelligence and motivation level, so if he could make it through I'm betting most people can. The big thing is you have to be an Air Force poster child, and my buddy is in terms of weight, physical shape, dress and personal appearance, military bearing, etc. I'm sure your family would love it if you could get a recruiting post close to home so you (and your family, assuming you're not single) could see them more regularly. According to my buddy it's pretty much a banker's hours job with a few after hours functions thrown in every once in a while, but you get extra money for it and you get to test PFE-only for promotion, so that helps.

Dude, I'm assuming you're already in the military, because you apply for recruiter duty only after already in.

So you've seen how they work, you've seen the hours. Think for yourself. Yes it has its perks, but overall I'm sure it's a pain in the ****. Talk to someone that is a recruiter first.

By the way, recruiter's have the highest wash out rate in the AETC. So the fact you asked the question doesn't bode well for your chances.
