Some will.

First join the military and get deployed to Iraq, then you can judge. It's easy to it behind a computer and critisize what the president is doing. But now if all your friends and loved ones would be killed by terrorists, then you would be singing a different tune. I am currently deployed to Iraq, I see the difference we are doing here. Since the war how many buildings in the US did the terrorists bomb? None, then something right is being done.
When you take out an insurgent and the house members men, kids, and women fall to ther knees and thank you from he bottom of their heart, then you know you're making a difference.
The president made a desicion, and we should stick by it. It was either we get more troops or not there was no other solution, so I don't know why folks are complaining. You go up to marine corps grunt battalion and ask them if we are making a difference out here and you will get a correct answer not from a politician, president, media, but the astual person who is the tip of the spear on the war with terror. And 99.9% of them will tell you we are making a huge difference.
Think about this, we pull our troops out and 2 months later terrorists bomb 10 more buildings in the US, killing 50,000 people. What will you say then? By fighting them on their own soil, we are rooting them ot of their safe-houses and disrupting their plans. As in every war even though service menbers die and it sucks, untimatelly we know that our friends and loved ones are safe back home. Ask any married service member that has a family and kids if they would jump on a grenade and sacrifice their life just so their loved one would be safe and you will get your answer. Someone made a good point... look at the prior statistics and you'll get about 200 dead (.01%).

It's amazing how WEAK the liberals and media have made us... 3000 dead is an incredibly small number compared to past conflicts. And yes, I lost two young friends over there... I also still volunteer at the local VA Hospital working with my wounded brothers and sisters.

I remember during MY Cold War deployments when a 6 month cruise was a GUARANTEE for 4-10 dead in accidents... I was also aboard the USS Kitty Hawk in 1997 when she finished her FIRST death-free deployment in her 30 years.

I held a kid as he died on the flight line, read the message when one of my students died when her aircraft crashed, and worked the search for the 50 crewmen who died in a double P-3CIII Orion crash off San Diego.

Damn liberals, Iran, Syria, and CBS News.

you don't see it on the news dipshit. bad sells. and when 60 some odd percent is against everything - they know people will stop watching their news if they show good stuff.

How about going to a military post, and speaking with those that have gone and see what THEY say. Ask THEM if we're doing good things.

I'm married to an army guy, and know many that have been there....so *I* know the answers you'll get...and only 1 person that I've spoken with has said that we should not be there...out of over 100....

Seriously. I triple dog dare ya. But please show the troops the respect they deserve and don't ask questions about how many killed, etc.

You have absolutely no clue as to what you're talking about. You've obviously never served in the military or else you'd know that the troops are simply following orders. The fact that you accuse our troops of stealing disgusts me.

You, pal, are nothing more than a pimple on the butt of society.

Get a life.

there is a lot of rebuilding going on over there. our wonderful media doesn't report all of the good things that are happening over there. Figure this, for every bad thing that you hear about at least 10-12 good things have happened each time.

about the same amount of the 21000 troops will come back in caskets as what we would loose here on our own soil. we loose troops everyday here in the good ole usa. when god is ready to bring them home he will; doesn't matter where they are.

Are you dense? They are trying to build a goverment that's not corrupt. Soldiers are more likely to be in an MVA accident stateside, then to get shot in iraq. And there is rebuilding. that's why the army engineers are there. But when it keeps being blown up by different groups, it's hard to tell.
If we rid baghdad of insurgents, then iraq has a chance of a decent goverment.

**** off you piece of ****!

It's people like you that make my job hard. I'm in the business of saving lives. The more focused the military is on the mission the better our chances of survival/success. But ASSHOLES like you distract us, cause our morale to drop, & increase the likely hood of mishaps.

You are no better than the terrorists we are fighting. KISS MY ***!

The terrorists and illegal aliens and their supporters intend to continue to kill off our soldiers until everyone of them comes home in a body bag. War is profitable for people providing the guns, ammunition, and goods and services to fund it. Also, it gives the government a way to control population by killing off our best and brightest and the innocent helpless in the line of fire. The Bible says: "As ye sow, so shall ye reap!" Sadly, our government has been sowing seeds of corruption for lots of years and now with the invasion of Iraq and the routes we are taking, the Prophecy of Armaggedon is nearing fulfillment.

I hope that none of them will come back home that way. I hope and pray that they will all come back safe and sound. As far as things not getting done the way certain people said that they would, that goes to show you just how "good" (*sarcasm*) our government truly is.

Unfortunately, there are going to be casualties. Since what you see about the situation in Iraq is strictly from different media, you are only going to see what they decide to show you in order to manipulate your opinion.

If you were to see any progress, then you might just feel a little differently. It's really important to think for yourself.
