That's bad. I move a lot. And it will be hard to give up sleeping that way.

Sleeping on your back definitely lets gravity do some nightly face lifting, but I don't know if it is a permanent thing. I was told to sleep on my back to prevent wrinkles, when I was about 20. That was thirty years ago and I still don't have a wrinkle. Talk to me again in ten years.

Dermatologists say they can tell which side a person sleeps on because that side has more wrinkles/lines.

It's hard to change the way one sleeps. I've tried.

But the biggest cause of skin damage is sun exposure so wear sunscreen to compensate.

Consider using an overnight skin cream or gel too.

The beauty sleep theory does work. Get plenty of sleep if possible. Sleeping on your back is best, side or stomach sleeping can iron in wrinkles on the face. Cotton sheets are best they allow the skin to breathe and are easily laundered.

I imagine it can't be too great for your chest if you're a woman. I mean, if you sleep that way EVERY night and don't wear a bra or something to bed. I imagine it would stretch your chest out - in a bad non-flattering way.

I don't know - that's just what I would think. But I'm not a doctor.
