I miscarried at 7wks and didn't go to my regular doctor. When I miscarried I went to the emergency room and they told me that I wasn't going to have to have the surgery done. That's a DNC. I would consult someone with medical experience, but if your experiencing seriouse problems like bleeding for more than 3-4 days I would diffenently make an appointment.

It is important for the doc to make sure that everything came out, even if he tells you otherwise. If it isn't all out it could mean more miscarriages in the future or infection. Usually the body can take care of it on it's own, but occasionally, it doesn't and trouble occurs. I had several miscarriages in early stages of pregnancy and did not realize that part of the problem was that there was still stuff left over in there that caused problems. We lost a set of triplets due to it.

You should go to the doctor to make sure everything is ok and to see what his next step would be. If he thinks it's something serious, he might send you to do tests that would make sure that the same won't happen again. Also, he might also perscribe something to you so that it won't happen again.
