I'm not angry with anybody. I just choose not to believe. I don't get mad at Santa Clause because you can't get mad at something you know doesn't exist (plus if Santa WAS real I'd imagine he'd be a pretty cool guy and hard to get mad at.) Perhaps some atheists are frustrated with the way the Christian Right has been trying to bear more influence on government, but I doubt atheists would be mad at something they don't believe in.

It is because you people constantly try to shove that someone who does not exist down our throats. We make a statement and your response is "Jesus still loves you", that is enough to piss anyone off. Or if you state "God Bless", I do not believe in him, so why do you keep believing that I need to hear that. For thousands of years people like me have lived with people trying to push their faith on us, disregarding our opinions or our rights. Keep to yourself and keep your God in your church and your mind. You do not need to open your mouth and spew that crap at me.
The other part that makes me irked is the lack of logic that religious people use and the hypocrisy. You state that the bible is God's words, yet when we point out the contradictions and obvious mistakes, you say that well that part was not really written by God. You use only parts of the bible that support your position, and disregard the other parts. However, if the bible was written by your perfect God, then how dare you disregard any part of it? Most non-believers are logical people, and it is tough dealing with people who have no logic in their lives.
And please stop quoting the bible, if I am a non-believer do you think that makes a difference. You might as well quote Dr. Seuss, "Green Eggs and Ham" for all the reality.

I am far from a religious person. I believe I am a child of God, not connected to any particular religion. (in my opinion) I'm not sure they are angry, but fearful because they fear what they can not see or touch. Only one who believes in some one, (God), that is mightier and more in control of us all, can be at peace with themselves and others around. Why else would a "group" of people fight so hard to deminish His every being in schools, songs, T.V. and everything else? My question is if you do not believe in God, or any other Higher Being then why not turn the radio station, or the T.V channel, or just don't participate with the activities that concern God? Why must one group of people want to take away something that could and will bring joy, peace and happiness to the next person who believes God can and does Love him/her and does make his/her life more manageable and easier to cope with? If you do not believe, like, or agree with something that betters the next person, move on to what makes you happy and does not take away from someone else! On that note, isnt it funny how the atheists believe they should take away everything concerning God, BUT the people who believe in Him, whatever religion believe all should be given to help the next!!!!! Something to think about!

They are angry at the actions of Christians who judge and complain and point fingers and tell them they are going to hell, a place they do not even believe exists.

Kind of a rediculous question isn't it? I am an atheist. That means I don't suscribe to the idea that there is a god or some supernatural being that created the universe. How could I be mad at something I don't believe exists? Are you mad at things you don't believe exist? It's a rediculous question.

Why do you think that telling such an obvious lie does you any good?
Aren't you aware that lying in support of your religious beliefs reflects poorly on yourself and on your religion?
Someday when you're a little older you'll realize that your reputation is valuable, and you'll regret trashing it like this.

We aren't angry at god. That would be like being angry at fire breathing dragons because they keep kidnapping fairy princesses.
What we are angry about is:
- people who tell us we are going to hell, foolish, close minded, or stupid.
- attempts to put prayer and the story of genesis into public schools.
- attempts to stop what could possibly be the most important medical breakthrough in history.
- attempts to stop park rangers from telling tourists how old the Grand Canyon is.
That's what makes us mad.

I believe you are mistaking condescension towards Christians with anger towards God. I think of Christians as adults who believe in Santa Claus. This doesn't make me angry. I just find them laughable.

They aren't angry with "god". They get frustrated by the rantings of those trying to force their beliefs in God on them. If everyone just kept their sales pitch for their religion to themselves, there would be no frustration at all.
