People from one group have said another is not following the religion properly so therefore they can not be religious.

A person raised Catholic is told by a Orthodox Jewish cousin that he or she is not religious enough to be Jewish. Yet, they are both Jewish by grandma's, and mother's blood. Is this just a case of prejudice? Or does the Orthodox person have a point.

It is part of our condition as human beings to try and separate ourselves into groups. We have done this from the beginning. Yet, whenever we do inevitably began separating ourselves into groups, some groups begin claiming superiority over the other groups, usually on the most ludicrous reasoning available. Thus, one religious person claiming that another is not religious enough is just more of this fallacious thought process after we separate ourselves from each other.

The Jews turned away from God when they refused to accept Jesus as the Messiah. Jesus was God in the flesh.
