be come a period in the good old U S A, and while i'm at it what is the meaning of lol in yahoo answer's thank you in advance.

Full stop and period signify the end of a sentence. Lol stands for Laugh Out Loud, the person who types lol is probably amused

i don't know but coz i'm english full stop makes more sence than period.
if anyone in the u.k. said period instead of full stop then people would think they are actually talking about the thing itself. so they wud be in an embarrassing situation.

by the way lol can mean 'Laugh Out Loud' or 'Lots Of Love'.
but u've got to make sure that the reader knows which one u mean.
one other thing
'lots of love' is not a very common one so be careful when using it otherwise u might break someones heart.

L laugh- O out-L loud - it just means the person typing , laughed out loud to themselves or so.They found what they were saying as funny.
